Hey anyone see the gold fever show today? Really a great show on how to process fine gold. Guy lives in LA, gets his concentrates from the valley, brings them home and works them through this process. Even does the gold amalgamation in a cement mixer right there. Hmmm. His results were very impressive.
Yes he screened it down to 20 mesh and 100 mesh. Used the rare earth magnet to get most of the black sands out. Didnt use a blue bowl. But panned it. Then took the black sands and put them in the cement mixer with mecury, water, and ball bearings. 2.5 hours later, wad of gold he sends to a person to seperate the mercury from the gold. Process really produced the fine gold. More than just pickers. He melted the gold down to 1oz bars. Cant wait to start working the claims. Any thoughts on how to get the fine gold?? |
