You lucky dawg!!! I'm looking out my window right now and all I see is almost complete white-out. Full on blizzard with high winds, not fit for man nor beast. char060.gif

Are you still on the road Crusty?

Up in WA, visiting family. Fly to Maui for a week tomorrow.

I have a couple buckets of material from a hole that a guy was working and got 2 12-18 mesh bits in a 3 gallon bucket before me, so hoping it has something in it. Been carrying it and my sluice in my truck, hoping to come upon a ditch or Creek with enough flow to run it lol

Posted by: swizz Mar 17 2016, 09:33 AM

Nice! Have fun in Maui!!! smiley-cool14.gif We miss ya.

My mom lives on the south side of Maui in kihei. If you would like, I could get you in contact with her. best places to eat, must see/do type stuff, local knowledge brah. Also she friends with some activity vendors and may be able to get discounts. Her new hubby is in a local band there and plays shows during the week at a few places.

I'm living vicariously through you, and I'm pretty excited to see Maui finally....

What's up friends! Just sharing pics from my latest adventure. Flew up to Seattle to pick up a motorcycle. Riding it hope and stopping to visit friends along the way. Did 50 miles of gravel road through amazing Eastern Oregon canyon country yesterday. Hard to look off the side of the road to see if there was any minerals, but I didn't see any signs of any goodness, but lots of amazing views!!

Finally got out in the field yesterday. Rained for 3 days here, so creek was pretty high and roads pretty muddy. Got 5 hours of dredging in; pic below is a few nice little bits I had after I cleaned out at 2 hours.

Will be out here all week!

Good luck, have the water levels come down? When are you headed back this way?

Posted by: Crusty Mar 3 2017, 07:55 PM

Got 2 more inches of rain last weekend, so the creek is actually higher than it was when I was here last week. Tried out a new spot and did pretty good today. Was warm at 80 degrees! Only supposed to be in the low 70s for the next couple days. Will be out here until Tuesday, spend a couple more days in Phoenix, and then head towards the house.

Not a bad day! Flood gold, all 12-18" deep.

Didn't get anything exciting for a few days, but finally found a good hole and am on a 2 day hottest streak! Been digging for 10 days straight; last day tomorrow
