cloud9.gif Back to giving the bunnies seed. They weren't far but tend to stick closer when they are getting it, watching to see if I put some out. giggle.gif

Tim was out digging and hit a pocket of bunnies! smiley-shocked003.gif All 5 rolled out of the dead end pocket that was filled with grass to the bottom of the dig. sad.gif Don't worry, this story has a happy ending......Check out the video I uploaded of the "Bunny Rescue" happy112.gif smiley-clapping.gif

It would have been almost impossible at this age to take care of them ourselves and be successful. Something mom needs to do till they are at least 4-6 weeks and these were barely 10 days old.

The baby kits did good! No shortage of bunnies here! giggle.gif Has been really cold here the last few days though. Was -23 this morning before sunrise. wacko.gif Here is a short video I took of me giving the bunnies a few apple wedges. You can see the hoar frost on them when they come closer to the camera to take the apple from me. wub.gif

char060.gif Been a snowy winter here but warmer compared to most. emoticon-object-024.gif Makes it a bit tougher for a bunny especially standing out in the snow for predators to see easier.
Here is a pic of another bunny. It was hanging out by the fire pit and the log bench seats.

I think he's smiling! excited.gif

Our rabbit raising efforts haven't gone very well. Our wolfdog has learned that he can dig a little hole just big enough for the darn little stupid suckers to crawl right out and into his mouth. By the time we hear the squeak it's already over with.
He hasn't been interested in any of the chickens or ducks or cats but he just can't leave the rabbits alone. He's eaten too many over the years and he has a taste for them I think.
On the upside he doesn't damage the cages at all! Just an escape hole underneath is all ya need!
