Serpentine has a more crstalline structure.
CLUE: This specimen will glow under ultraviolet light and produce a unbelievable color. Clue # 2 The waxy surface -------------------- |

Sorry Redpaw...... :P ....This one doesn't glow under ultraviolet light.
And its not Jade Kriss.. I'll give you a Clue. This specimen usually grows in grape like clusters.... This one is just cut in half lenght wise, thats why the bottom is flat. -------------------- Education is the key to the future,

Is it vegitable or mineral? <_<
is it a "ide", "ate" or "Ite" or "ine"? What does it streak? Whats the hardness? does it cleave or fracture? talc? serpentine is a good guess, it forms in dull or silky masses, is that right? malachite? when you say "grape like clusters", do you mean a dendritic formation? -------------------- |

I thought for sure it was Green Flourite.....
and looking at it closer I'd say Olivine now, but it doesn't appear to have the clarity of Olivine either?. -------------------- |

Calcite?
I'm used to seeing calcite in clusters such as "dog tooth calcite"....but calcite covers alot of turf...just a wild guess...I only know about black and silver and gold and red rocks<grin> I have a confession to make, however, when I first saw it, me being from an ocean lined "beachy" state, my first thought was petrified whale boogher...don't know if I can say that in polite company or not, here tho'... |
