Here are a couple useful links to learn about withdrawls.

Also useful for researching withdrawls is the PLO's(public land orders)

First two links are dead.
Yep. First two are dead links, CP.
and i wish the third one was dead also!
Sorry guys, guess those pages and their url's no longer exsist. I'll try to find the information again and repost it soon.
Russ, what's wrong with the 3rd link that's still working? Just a BLM news in the spotlight page now. Although not what the original link was either and is now redirected to the BLM's spotlight news. BLM's been redoing many parts of their websites recently.
Spotlight news might be interesting reading to some folks, why shouldn't it be working I'm wondering.

sorry Dan! i was being "funny" but it seems that our gubermint keeps getting in our way with our rights! it seems to me that they act like they dont have any person/agency above them and that theyre word (right or wrong) is the law we must succumb to.
Ok, all 3 original links are now fixed again and you will find the pages indicated at them.
You are right Russ, there are many in uniform that think they are above the law and that is why we the citizens really must take some time to learn about this stuff. A civil servant (BLM/FS officials) should certainly know and follow the laws, as the law, their handbook and manuals state. Unfortunately this is not what we experience always....and again why it's so powerful for the prospector to know and have this knowledge in the field for themselves.
