Hi everyone! Just wanted to make a place to post some pics of Club Outings with my bro Mike and I.
The first pics are a club event at my new gold placer claim in Chaffee County, Colorado (Sept. 10th and 11th, 2016)
I will add pics of the other people who came, if they want me to post them here.

Love that little creek...and the chunky gold in it!
That looks heavenly!
I'm with Crusty. I'm tempted to go up and brave the cold for a weekend and work up or downstream.

Yes, an awesome little creek!
I was in the neighborhood for business, and stopped by the creek for a few hours (forgot to bring my pans).
But while looking over the claim I found a rock that has massive druzy blue beryl in it. More evidence that there are aquamarines above.
I still may squeeze another invite before the season is over.
Blue beryl druzy........SWEET!!
Thanks Dave, awesome of you to extend invites to us all, I'd love to get some digging in there sometime.
Hope you find some aquamarines soon too, how cool would that be eh?!
Wanted to let people know on the public forums that there is a club invite to my gold placer claim for this weekend (Oct 8th - 10th, 2016).
If you are not a Annual or Lifetime member, consider joining up for this invite (in Chaffee county, CO), or for my brothers Crystal Dig invite that will probably be the following weekend (Jefferson county, CO).
If you are a member, then check out the details under the protected forums,.under the topic " Dave's Claim invite "
You rock Dave! Sounds like it will be a fantastic time with great finds! Thank you for inviting the CP club members!
Wanted to make a post on the public forums to let members know that I have an Invite to my gold claim for this Memorial Day weekend (2017).
Details and directions are on a post under the protected forums (annual/ lifetime members). Under the topic "Dave's Club Invites 2017 !!" (on Page 6).
Hope ya'll can make it!
Awesomesauce!! I'll be off on a 11 day motorcycle around UT. Hope y'all have a great weekend!!
I had a great time this weekend with club members!
Thanks for having us up to your claim Dave.
On Sunday I decided to isolate the clay layers we were digging into and test pan them to find out which one is hot and carrying the chunky pieces.
The first set of test pans I did 3 pans of 3 layers (small gold pan of sample clay for each). One blue/grey clay layer with bright red/pink spots in it. One orange/rusty layer and one dark green/rusty layer. I didn't take pics of the first set but I determined that the orange and green rusty layers were essentially the same material and same gold content.
For the second set of tests I did 2 pans. Blue/grey layer in one pan, green and orange rusty layers in one pan. Result were similar to the first run.
First test pan is the blue/grey clay with bright red spots.
I posted another invite to the gold claim in the protected forums for this weekend .(June 24th-25th 2017)
Hope to see ya'll out there!
Awesome Dave and thank you for another invite to everyone too! Super cool of you and love that chunky gold you all are getting up in that area.....SWEET!!! Hope to get up that way soon to check out your claim and Johnny's as well. Good luck on the sampling/testing this weekend, we'll all be looking forward to the reports and pics later too!
That was a great weekend to find some gold. Thanks Dave!
I ran a sluice this weekend and made it through 12 buckets of clay. It was good to see the club members have fun.
