Starting to get the itch again, myself. I gotta get those new arrows worked up for the longbow. Then - practice! Well get'm fixed and get shooting I also hunt traditional (recurve) and really enjoy building all my own arrows, but just might have to use the compound this year, waited to long for this tag and want to up my odds. The area you live in has a great number of game animals, especially in the foot hills of the Sangre's. |

Unfortunately, it is mostly private property. But, there are scattered BLM's, SWA's, and National Forest access points....

Woody,
Thanks for the info on 61. We seen some good elk and the area is great, love hunting this type of area (Aspens). we didn't get much time to get out and hike but did pick a camp site. I might try and get back up there one more time before season opener. Once again thanks for the info. |
