Hello all well I went to OR. and met up with Redpaw and Family. What wonderful people thay all are I might add. Then Redpaw and I departed for the claim. We had a quick drive mabey 25 min and we are there. :D We walked the claim getting the lay of the land useing the fire ant to pin point some hot spots here and there and found that there is gold nearly every were on the claim. And after looking over the claim Redpaw asked me how and what and wy the gold was here I gave him my thoughts and thireys.Well we then desided to do a bit of metal detecting and here is a pic of what we found exsept the butterfly knife and a broken blade of another knife. The next two days I got to do some sluicing digging the top layer to bed rock from around one foot to four foot in most places. And gold in every bucket load to the sluice HEHEHE hard to beet that :D :D :D
Any ways I had a great time loved the claim the friends the detecting and the gold. laugh.gif laugh.gif rolleyes.gif Cant wait for the next trip!!!

I'll tell you all something right now, GAT is one heck of a guy to listen too. I was laughing most every minute at a story about the things we have all done as kids growing up and the mischief we all did. ( ask sometime about the burning chest of tissue paper...you'll have to hear it in person though and watch how he presents the story in a play by play mode )

Gat is a downhome guy with alot of good traits that I'd welcome into a friendship any day, he has alot of knowledge about gravel deposits, soil conditions and paystreaks and it was a great thing to be able to talk about theories and conditions in the past and how they are present today.

nothing like meeting with Gat, If he comes your way then go out of your way to meet up with him and share some of his lucky good fortune all caught up in his soul.

Gat's Metal Detector was the first to sweep across our claim in a long time, I've told many of the other claimants to bring theirs and give it a go as my daughter regularly picks up a buck in change on every visit....she scored 2 knives, Lottery ticket winning scratcher and 2.14 in change just 2 weeks before Gat swept the area and now she has a Bali Song Butterfly Knife from Gat to add to her collection.

The sun is poking out, I hear the river calling.....sure wish I had more time with Gat and many of you to come and give it a go.

Hey russ,
it is real hard to really have a good time without a couple of days minimum to really get out and explore and test.

Gat and I could have walked for hours had we not had mining to do, there is so much to see and discuss and take in when people come to the area that a few days is just breaking the surface.

I saw QJ yesterday, he came down for the day with a partner and we tag teamed the buckets for a fair haul of gold, but we must have spent the first two hours going over what Gat and I have figured out and then spent another hour just going over issues that can't be discussed on the net. The end of the day found us talking for another hour and a half......

I'm thinking we maybe ran 11 buckets.....6 of those buckets were the 3 gallon type and for the amount of gold and company it was priceless....

We're planning things all the time, can't wait for you and I to also get together so we can have some cold ones and figure out better ways to get the gold.

Never enough time, never.

Come one come all, and let's go.....the ground will freeze over by mid december and the river won't go down till Mid March but we have our ways.......oh yes, we have our ways.

Just sitting around or walking around looking at the area would be a good thing in itself so if any of us can cross paths that would be a good time and plenty more opportunities will be available next year as well.

I have a project I'm working on shortly, I'll be looking for unique ideas and suggestions for putting to good use. The Idea will give the MRT Claimants and their guests some common equipment to use and share while out on the claims.

600 Permit will allow off stream mining outside the wet perimeter using power equipment.
700-J ( The new one coming out ) allows mining within the wetted perimeter with power equipment.

Using Hand tools requires no permit....( sluice shovel pan rocker....self contained trommel )
