New to site. I have sluiced a few times with a little success. I am considering buying a Bazoka sluice, anyone have experience with this sluice or have any comments?

Hi Cliff. 
I have not owned nor used one BUT I have always heard positive reviews. The only negative point that I'm aware of is.... high price point for a river sluice. That's what's always kept me from trying one. For that much money I have other equipment priorities but if you are primarily a stream sluicer one of their models might be well worth it!

I have had a Bazooka Goldtrap Prospector for about three years. I love it!! I really no longer use my old metal sluice or my molded plastic riffle sluice. The Bazooka produces 2-3x the gold for the time on the river. This is due to good gold capture while eliminating all classifying, eating dirt as fast as you can shovel it (or sucking down a 5 gal bucket in about 60 seconds!), and being super quick to clean out. ALso very quick to set up as it is more flexible on angles than a riffle sluice. Go for it!

After a bunch of searching, debating between getting a Sidewinder sluice or a Bazooka, I went with the Bazooka. Got the 36" Prospector, with the heavy duty ABS option.

This brilliantly designed sluice box is lightweight with uni-body construction of ABS plastic, made entirely in the USA. It has no mat or riffles, and no assembly required! The Bazooka Gold Traps have inlet tubes from the water scoop into the trap. There are a number of small holes in this tubing which keep the lighter materials loose, and this allows the gold to settle to the bottom of the trap due to its high specific gravity... And there it stays - Until YOU remove it!
No additional equipment is needed for operation, just a moving stream and a shovel. There is no classifying, simply shovel from the streambed onto the intake end. The Bazooka Gold Trap is also self-cleaning, and final clean-out of your concentrates is fast & easy.
Ultimate selling point was the fact you don't have to classify. Lots of videos out there on folks testing the tailings and while they occasionally lose a little gold, the fact you can run material 3x as fast by not classifying, in the end, it should catch more gold.
Turn around time is a couple weeks... gonna be a long wait! lol

Congrats, that looks great! I am super interested to see how well it captures micron. Boil box is a proven system. Could be the ticket for CC.

Went with the normal option... seems like the better choice, given how little bigger stuff we get. And I'll be doing this modification to reduce the amount of cons. Several folks out there who swear any bigger stuff will sit at the bottom of the grizzlies.

I had to familiarize myself with how it works, and looks kinda cool. I've seen rave reviews from others, so I'm curious what you think once you've had a chance to get it wet.

I haven't given up on the sidewinder. Still need to check it out in the field and if it looks like it'll work, I may have one made to fit my Keene highbanker on it, so I could highbank/dredge with it. But as heavy as it is, especially with the stand, it'd have to be somewhere I could leave it set up for a few days.

true. the patents are all expired. I suppose the brand name has value, the distribution network, the web site and that sort of stuff. but not much. I really, really hope someone steps up to take over the manufacturing!
