Below is the 2008 WWAT Rally & Hunt Flyer which will be held outside Bayfield, Colorado this year so to give hundreds more folks the chance to enjoy the two and a half days for FREE open hunts with their entire family. We have hunts for every age group and all the family will find the weekend of great hunts full of prizes and coins to win. This event is open to the public and it is not neccessary that you be a member of WWATS, but we hope you will consider it once you understand our goals to keep public lands open to our hobbies.
There will be some 250 to 300 prizes to give away and even my wife (a national known jewelry maker) has donate some $10,000. worth of fine jemstone jewelry to the event and "Ladies Hunt" on Sunday. Also on Sunday will be the ONLY pay type hunt which will contain ONLY Silver coins and prizes will ONLY be Gold, Silver, and Metal Detectors. This hunt is a pay hunt because many requested it because of the prizes and silver coins buried. All hunts will contain some silver coins, along with other mixed coinage and many more metal detectors and greart prizes will be given in other hunts as well.
This year there is a "Pre-registration Fee" of $15.00 per person except for kids 12 years and younger, to help pay for all the paperwork, name badges and to assure enough coins to plant to make a great weekend of hunts for you. IT IS A MUST that you fill out your entry form below and get it to us before June 1st., for after that date we will be in route to Colorado and we would not have time to purchase more coinage to hide for you. After June 1st. the "pre-registration fee" will go up to $25.00 per person. Same is true with those wanting to enter the "WWATS Pay Hunt Silver Hunt" on Sunday, if your a WWATS Member cost is $55.00 for this Hunt, if not cost is $65.00 until May 31st and it goes up to $70.00, so hurry and get your entry filled out and to us as soon as possible along with payment. This will allow us enough time to purchase the silver coins and detectors for prizes in this one hunt.
So if you are a WWATS member (membership is free for three years at: www.wwats.org) and you wish to enter both the Sunday Pay Silver Hunt and all the free hunts for the weekend it will cost you the $55.00 entry for the Pay Silver Hunt and the $15.00 pre-registration fee which is a total of $70.00 to cover all hunts if recieved before the date of May 31st. If you wait till that weekend to pay for all hunts and your not a member it will cost you $70.00 for the Pay Silver Hunt and Pre-Registration will go up to $25.00 per person which is a total of $95.00. If you only want to participate in the free hunts, you only pay the Pre-Registration fee only and mail it in with your entry form shown below before May 31st.
SO DON'T WAIT, get your entry and payment in now!!!
Again this year we ask you to please consider donations to this event, prizes do not have to be related to our hobby and coins we can use as prizes or bury. The only way such FREE hunts can exist is that the contestants and others give towards making the event an great success for everyone. So please consider giving!
Those giving nice prizes will also be entered in a drawing for a gold coin or two to be given away Sunday at the event, need not be present to win. Both individual and club donations are welcome. Thank You!!
Look for a number of suprizes in the hunts, a super and exciting GPS Hunt, representatives for the Colorado Chapters of the GPAA to instruct you and demo some of the latest propecting equipment today, great Campfire Gathering Saturday night and much more.
Get your reservations in now at the Pine Riverside RV Park for camping or speak to them as for the best motels in the area.
It's going to be an event-of-the-year and you don't want to miss it......... Keith Wills, president
