I haven't read any L. Ron, so decided to give Battlefield Earth a go since it's free reading on Amazon Prime. While what I'm reading isn't typically worth announcing, I was delighted the story is primarily set in Colorado, USAFA gets considerable mention, and mining has a major role in the story line.

I haven't seen the Travolta film, but judging by the ratings, it's another "Ender's Game" situation where the movie adaptation of a book sucks. If you like reading science fiction, it's worth a look.

L. Ron Hubbard books are pretty good! Thanks for the heads up on where to download it for free.
