Saturday

.....6:00 am and I awoke to the horrifying screams of the neighbor
being sexually attacked and strangled on the otherside of the bedroom wall,
the downstairs neighbor ran out and dialed 911 while I got dressed and
headed for her door......( waiting for the bad guy to come out, so I could
show him vigilante justice )...and in the meantime the downstairs neighbor
watched the back balcony where the crime was in progress. ( we could hear
him trying to strangle and muffle her cries for help )

The cops arrived and the downstairs neighbor came around from the back of
the unit to show the cops where to go and the suspect took this opportunity
to pull a superman off the 2nd story deck.....( My daughter saw the superman
as did the female downstairs neighbor ) .....the victim was hammered around
the face, and her neck was all mangled but she lived and we got personally
thanked by her for saving her life....( that was cool, but her screams haunt
me....the most terrifying screams and ear splitting at that....made my
bloodboil in my veins as I listen and could do nothing ).....I'm still
hearing those screams........a scream of a banshee would be nothing compared
to this.....it shook me up.

Cops setup up Canine units but the suspect parked out front and made a
getaway before the perimeter was in place.....they know who did it and are
looking hard for him......he left some kind of evidence apparently, crime
scene detail crew spent alot of the day inside......she apparently left her door unlocked and he got in sometime in the night.....

good things still happen in this world, it just takes the right people to do them.

My neighbor and I are proud of what we did, we just wish we could have got to him first. It was a good thing I decided at the last minute not to go camping this weekend, she'd have been a statistic and we'd never have gotten the chance to do our part.

Proud to know you, Dave. Encourage your neighbor to seek the support groups for women attacked as she's been. She's got a lot to deal with, as do you. I'm glad you and your neighbor and the cops were there. They'll get him. Some of those dastardly dudes show up a second time. I know you'll be ready. You're the kind of neighbor I'd like to have on the otherside of my walls. Hope your kids and wife are okay, too.

What a weekend you've had!

Got to say hi to her again today, shes doing much better and now has friends escorting her where ever she goes.......

Shes a real nice gal, just moved in a week ago and was looking forward to being a part of Salem community. You can see the hurt in her eyes when you look at her now, and it will be sometime before she puts this behind her.

She's doing much better ( wears lots of makeup as a cover up of the bruises ), and almost smiled today but no mention from her if they caught the guy yet.....The officers have my name and number as a potential witness when they do catch him and prosecute.....
