I, also, wish to add my tribute to Pat Tillman's honorable sacrifice for his country.

While I'm on the topic of sacrifice,
War is dirty work. Good Men Die, and bad men survive to fight again another day.
I'm not going to apply for the job of deciding who is righteous and who deserves to die.

HOWEVER,
I must admit, that while I'm a person who doesn't like to see the family dog or cat suffer, so therefore I also don't like seeing what unspeakable cruelties humans can perpetrate on other humans, I gotta say this too....

9-11 was horrible beyond belief, and on "our soil."
Bali Bombings were horrible
Chechnya bombings were horrible
Saudi Bombings were horrible
Spanish Train Bombings were horrible.
and I'm having a hard time feeling sorry for Bath Party Captured By Coalition forces who are being parsed out as political agendae fodder via TV and American press to embarrass the current military operations in IRAQ in particular.

It makes no difference who is in office when a war(s) are occuring. If any think Iraq incarcerationnwould be different under an Al Gore presidency post 9-11 in the abuse of Iraq humans prisonners, they are kidding themselves in my opinion.

Have we forgotten the former football stadium now turned killing stadium now empty due to the US intervening in Afghanistan, the US funded stadium say Islamists routinely murder/decapitate/point blank shots to backs of head-- women, men, and children unabated for a decade or more?

Sure, Pat Tillman didn't die for the right to anally abuse and humiliate Iraq humans.
Rape of either gender is deplorable and the court martial proceedings are right minded.

However...the insane parading of these images using the excuse freedom of the press...we didn't see the decapitations and hundreds of rows of mangled and dead bodies in New York and Washington DC and the Pennsylvania hillside from the morning of 9-11.

Why in God's Name are we being assaulted hourly with a diet of over zealous Americans behaving under war conditions how other humans behave under "peace time" and calling that news.

Let's call it what it really is:
Political Pandering before US Elections to embarrass a sitting administration.

BTW, I'm the Mother of a Gulf War I veteran, who honorably served his country as an army paratrooper, serving with the French contingent who landed in Baghdad 1 hour before the first gulf war cease fire was called by Hussein.

I hate war. I hate the picyaune press's steady diet of our behavior when they showed more restraint when it was our dead drug through the streets, etc.

Rant off...now I feel better. Thank you for this topic, D/D

Just heard on CNBC (financial television channel) where an American has just been reported beheaded (overseas.) My heart goes out to the families who are feeling betrayed right about now. How will Washington Post, etc., justify their "freedom of press" behavior now, if American beheadings increase?
