Here's a few pictures of today's birds. The white ones are Pelicans. The black ones are Cormorant's. Usually they are in the water with the Pelicans. We've never seen them in the trees before.

Here's a pair of eagles. We don't see them together very often. These eagles were just across the road from a big pipeline construction project. I was surprised when they just sat there posing while I got out and took the pictures.

I know, just another hawk but I really like his feathers coloration. He just sat there watching me.

We have a great area just a few miles from our house. There are a lot of irrigation lakes so there are a lot of birds. Most of our pictures are taken between I-25 and hiway 287 north of hiway 66 and south of hiway 402.

There are a lot of dirt roads between the farms. We just cruise along about 10 mph and look for birds. We see something we just stop and take the picture while sitting in the truck. We see the hawks sitting in trees or on power poles. It's amazing how many birds you see it you just look.

The Blue Herons are back from where ever they spend the winter. Now we have to check out the other nesting site we know of. We saw our flock of wild turkeys also. Not quite as exotic but neat anyway.

Great pics Leonard! It seems to be that time of year. We saw a Colorado blue bird the other day, that's always a spring time indicator for us here. happy088.gif
