I went out for the first time this morning with my new Bounty Hunter Cabela's edition metal detector and found a ton of small stuff. Lots of quarters and pennies. A Canadian dime, etc. It seems that I am finding a lot just at the grass root layer and am constantly taking my hand trowel and chopping a circular hole in the grass. Is there a DIY golf hole cutter kinda thing that I can devise? I think it would make a lot cleaner hole and would be appreciated my my HOA in our common areas.
Thanks. JJB |

A Bulb planter would work great in this instance:

Those are nice ideas right there, I was thinking bigger, yes pain in the butt to carry but, post hole digger, chop the handles (wood) to two ft., easier to backpack.

He's in the turf in the HOA common areas - a post-holer is definitely out. So is a standard #2. Now, if he has some crocus bulbs to spare - he could say he was beautifying for spring!
