One just never knows! I just wanted chicken chunks on a stick, so Dan fired up the grill. Was yummy to! The mouse is still "there". Should check to see if the strange bug if still wandering around on it? Has me wondering if it was eating it or going to lay eggs in it?

I did some fishing today and didn't have any luck but made friends with this little bird (for about 45 minutes!) until an Osprey flew overhead and freaked him out. I only have a 55mm lens so he let me get pretty close. It's a Green-tailed Towhee according to my Audubon Guide. Described as "shy" but I was able to talk to this one for a long time whilst he was munching and get down low in front of it with the camera. Good thing too cuz the fishing wasn't doing it for me today.

Very cool pics!
Something about today, though - I got touching close to all kinds of birds today. Even had one just calmly walk out of the path of my left front tire while I was going to the store. It was really weird. And spooky. -------------------- Caveman

hmmmm, earthquake?
Nah, I think we both might have a little Dr Doolittle in us. Here's an oddball icicle pic from the same lake yesterday. Waves were forming icicles on the shore twigs all around the lake and looked kinda cool. He's beautiful, great picture Chris! I love how you can see the detail of his feathers in the enlarged picture. Sound like the weather is a lot better where you guys are. Was a total white out here yesterday blowing in sideways right at our door. Snowing here today again. Funny though, bunnies disappear but the birds come out thick here in the worst weather. Last minute freak out before the ground covers over?
I love when the icicles do that at the waters edge. -------------------- Education is the key to the future,

Been really cloudy and windy here lately so I have been taking some cloud formation pics. Here is one that really caught my eye.

Thanks Chris, was cool how they rowed out so low right above me. Here is a couple shot I took yesterday while we were out cutting dead trees.

Here are a couple more I took while out cutting firewood....
Dew was thick on the flora when we first arrived. No clouds but was raining hard under the trees. This was a cool caterpillar that I almost didn't see.....it's blender was working well. -------------------- Education is the key to the future,
