Dan (CP) would be more than happy to help you with any levels of research Scott, you could even talk to him about it when we meet up this weekend. happy088.gif

Will do! I was actually planning on that, and will bring my map. I may even purchase more detailed maps later..... but the ones I have should work for now. I think the problem here is my service - as I said, it's very erratic - a feature will even stop working in the middle of being used, and a refresh will give me a "404" error. Darn frustrating...... Now I know how Russ feels! smiley-laughing021.gif

smiley-laughing021.gif thumbsupsmileyanim.gif You just made my morning. Thanks for the laugh, Woody! And I hear you on the rest of it.... while I have a feel for networks, signal flow, and current flow - and do pretty well with things mechanical (though not lately - just ask Chris about the trommel adventure!) - computer programs just frustrate the heck outta me. 'though, I can learn how to use them fairly adeptly. It just take me more time.... I am a caveman, after all!

Where do you live? I am down here, south of Canon City and west of the Springs - I would certainly enjoy meeting up!

Well I went and made another mistake,,

So Caveman all that talk about Chris giving me a tutorial on LR2000........... Well it is true, Chris did give me a great class. But, Not the same Chris that offered to help you. Chris, "AKA Swiss" gave me lessons several years ago. Chris, "AKA Lostenweb" is probably pretty good as well, I don't know. I know he works a lot with computers so I give him credit.

Well Said fenixsmom, That cracked me up. Woody

I knew who you meant, our fancy, fly tying Swizzle Stick. I may be a caveman, but I'm not that slow.....most of the time! rolleyes.gif and I will take any help I can get, so long as it's legit.

I am starting to look for the mining laws and CFR's online, and am wondering if there is any on-line course work offered that would go over these. If I find anything, I will post it.

Lostnewb, I am in north west Custer..... just south of the Fremont county line. Look for Deweese Reservoir, and I am just about a 3 miles north and about 6 miles east. There should be some good open areas between us where we can meet..... Perhaps we can interest Woody......

Caveman, Chris

Heading out prospecting in some unknown areas sounds exciting. I looked those locations you mentioned and they look promising. Not sure when I will get freed up for the weekend before the winter sets in. Snow is just around the corner if it is not already making a mark up in that area. This whole week I have been all over the state. I've got just over 20 towns that I have to visit. But it is all work and no play. I've been doing a lot of night work and daylight finds me seeking covers somewhere. This weekend doesn't look good for heading down to do the Core Team meet up either. I have to be up in Aspen on Sunday. I'm sure you have done your ground work and got that all taken care of. Keep me posted when you are headed up there and I will see if I can create a window of opportunity. I'll be watching to see how your progress is going.

Have a good one, Woody.
