Hey everyone,

char098.gif Flowers, animals, minerals whatever......if you found it outdoors in nature's tiny world, this is the perfect thread to share it in. happy088.gif Post em' up!

Here is one to start it off that I shot recently.
I know Denise just love's the flowers so the first one is for her. Hibiscuss flower nearly 12" across

I was looking around in my front flower/rock garden today and was surprised to see there was already a plant that had flowered. This was very unexpected as nothing else has even began to show any signs of Spring. Obviously it is a Spring Ephemeral but hey, I'll take it. Bring on the Spring.

There's a good word for the day, "Spring Ephemeral"! Have a good one, Woody.

Yes, I found that Ammonite section near Trinidad, been a few years. The antlers came from a skull I found when I was out prospecting up around timberline. That reddish/brown rock on the left is a 10 pound chunk of Mahogany Obsidian. Great for making arrow heads.

Here's a cool mushroom that is growing on the northern side of a huge dead standing tree.

girly.gif Some pretty flowers with a beautiful butterfly! Strange white cotton ballish looking thing under the butterly though. chin.gif I didn't notice it when I was taking the picture. Is that part of the flower or some kind of cacoon thing?

Looks like a spider has wrapped up some of the flower buds before they opened up - it's the spider home or nest, so to speak. When you blow up the image, you can see the spider threads on the flowers to the low left of the "nest".

Don't worry, Mrs CP - the spiders only want bugs - not noses! Still, just think about what the spider saw..... ohmy.gif
