Hi Russ,
If you want to get a feel for the consumer pulse on specific items it's not a bad idea to browse eBay and track similar items. 2c.gif
Sounds like you have some very cool stuff there!

Here's a couple URLs that should help you out... eBay (as Swizz mentions) is another great source for pricing as well...

unless the agate and such is especially rare or has a sweet pattern/color it won't be worth to much especially since the good stuff more than likely would have already been cut or kept. rarely do you get anything real expensive or good when you buy a large lap. lot like that with added stones. If they were chunks of facet rough you may have something but genberally agates and jaspers turquoise are not expensive or rare(i have seen Jim with some top agates though so you never know if you bought something from a guy like him...hehehe)...hard to price without looking at it. Got some pics?

Sounds like you have some pretty nice pieces that could be worked Russ. happy088.gif When pricing rough, one wont get as much as a finished piece......I have sold finished pieces that others have said wouldnt go for much, especially rough. Fire Agate is definately sought after.

As far as getting good rough with used lapidary equipment....I have personally seen some amazing material being sold with the lapidary tools!
Some are just lucky enough to be able to get those good deals. happy112.gif Good job Russ! I cant wait to see what you make for your wife from what she picks out of the material.

You'll make it happen Russ, just be patient. happy088.gif
For now you can eye up the material, and get some ideas on what your going to work first and how. smile.gif
