Amazing color variety! Ever wonder what makes the different colors? Wonder no more........ happy112.gif

Red - Iron (ferric)
Orange - Iron (ferric)
Yellow - Iron (ferric), Uranium
Green - Iron (ferric), Copper, Cobalt, Chorminum, Uranium, Nickle
Blue - Copper, Manganese, Cobalt, Chromium
Violet - Manganese, Iron (ferric)
Purple - Manganese, Iron (ferric)
Brown - Iron (ferric), Uranium
Black - Manganese, Carbon, Iron (ferric)
Grey - Silicon Dioxide
White - Silicon Dioxide

Here is a cool pair of dangling earrings made from some of the finds that day. I shaped the stones and Dan set them. Lighter spots are transparent in the light. Gives them a candy cane look I think. happy088.gif
