these little spring shrooms are the best eating you ever had, they pop up around late may and only show for a few weeks depending on the weather, the wetter the better, i used to pick them as a kid in michigan, and have found them in wyoming as well, its a big part of our spring, outdoor events.

So I don't get it...are these things really that good? I'm not a huge shroom fan, best I can tolerate is shrooms and black olives on a nice slice of neopolitan from Penn Station NYC
 (Don Pepi's, you're my hero!) . So whats the big deal?
