I was pleased to view the recent GOLD RUSH show that detailed their interest in Colorado gold placers near the towns of Fairplay and South Park . I agree with Todd Hoffman's crew that they are in the best gold they've ever mined. Over the past many seasons of the show, I've wondered why they didn't just come to Colorado to fulfill their dreams. It was a pleasant surprise to see my family's mining interests in full view from the camera shots from Pennsylvania Mountain where the large nuggets were recovered during their testing.
My family has been working mining claims in the London Mountain and Pennsylvania Mountain area producing precious and base metals for longer than I can clearly remember. One thing we always value very highly is gold bearing fossil remains such as the 16 TON GOLDEN GENEVIEVE DINOSAUR as noted in the attachment below. The site high up Pennsylvania Mountain that Hoffman and Dodge tested may have remnant fossils occurring along with the LARGE GOLD NUGGETS they recovered. I wish them the best in finding placer gold and hope they can recover some gold bearing fossils, as those finds would be very interesting to the followers of this series. I've been doing research on those areas and there are TONS of claims around there! Hard to know where I could poke in at but I imagine all the placer claims are along the waterways as usual. The lode claims could be wherever but they all intertwine together too, plus alot of private property there of course. I can only get so much online so ill have to stay along the outskirts of any quadrants I can confirm unless I go to the county office for claim maps after narrowing it down more.
I recently bought a nice laptop and it's awesome for research and the lr2000 but I soon found out it won't charge on my solar system inverter. It needs a pure sine wave inverter and mine is the basic modified sine wave. Everything else I have runs fine but I guess certain technology needs a certain charge wave and pure sine wave is exactly like grid tied power. Finicky high tech stuff and a headache to be a high tech redneck sometimes! I'd like to go out in those mountains for a week but I don't even know where I'd start yet. There might be a place I can claim there somewhere! -------------------- Level 2 member -12/25/16
