Sweet day on the digs!
Check out some of the sweet purple Fluorite I got while out digging with Anita. This small Fluorite plate is going to clean up nicely. After cleaning it off more, they look to be very deep purple. ![]()

Over the weekend I went up to the claim and met up with friends to search for where the topaz came from. We didn't find any more topaz but I did find a pegmatite exposure that had not been looked at yet. I worked this new pegmatite for most of the weekend and it produced a few fluorite crystals and about a hundred quartz crystals most of which were double terminated, tabular/flat and included with goethite and mica making them sparkle several different colors.
Here is my best find from the peg, a pale green fluorite with a cluster of quartz attached. Some of the quartz crystals. This smokey has a microcline crystal attached and a white phantom inside. The termination was a little damaged by nature. Dave and Jason working the peg material. -------------------- |
