Russau, I talked to 2 different Senators offices this morning 7-13-04, and was told by both that the vote on S2543 was voted on in the Energy and Natural Resources Committee last month. One office took the time to check the Senate floor proceedings for today 7-13-04 and said S2543 was not scheduled, then she went on to list the committes it has gone thru with Energy and Natural Resources being the last one it went through. Todays schedule does not include it. She couldnt tell me when it would be up for a vote at this time, as it isnt scheduled. At least thats what the Senators office told me when i called them. I still left my verbal comments and both senators will be given the comments today.
I recommend everyone call the local office of both senators from your state and leave verbal comments, along with any emails or other means you give messages to them. The more response they get from us the more likely they will vote in our favor.

As for this forest service fiasco on 228.4a, i also recommend everyone read it very very carefully, and pick out the obvious and not so obvious ways that the FS is trying to stick it to us, along with any green party goons who may have them in their pockets. SEND in your comments and remarks! Keep them simple, to the point, and civil, and it will help our cause.

Sorry about being so long winded, but needed to put in my $.02 worth.
