Got out with the little pony today and poked around.
(I haven't cleaned these) I thought this might be Obsidian but probably just a hard Shale. ![]() This is a cool piece of Jasper or Chert. I may be able to cab this. ![]() Here is a busted Geode. It has a large crystallized pocket inside which I need to expose. ![]() I have strong reason to believe that this is a Geode but won't know for sure until I cut it. I am going to guess Flint just from the pictures. Don't think that last piece is Chinese writing stone. Writing stone is all black with white andalusite crystals. Sure is interesting though! Do a hardness test on that last one if you can Chris.
