I thought it would be fun to try and find the camouflaged critter in the photo.
I'll start off the thread with the picture only, and If no one finds it right away, I can come in and tell you what your looking for as a hint. Ok, here is the picture. Can you find it? -------------------- Education is the key to the future,

Good eye Chris! It is an obscure ground mantid, and is very small (15-30 mm.) Timmy also has the good eye, as he was the one that found it. He brought it over to me on a little rock, and said "look a praying mantis, but its dead". It did appear dead, but I told him they sometimes play possum to keep from being eaten. I told him to just keep watching it while I went to go get my camera. All of a sudden I hear him say "Wow, it just twisted it's head and looked at me!" By the time I got back out there, it was standing up. I have never seen one this small, my dad had one when I was a kid but it was alot larger and green.
I placed it in the garden where it can find a new spot to be. I will add a closer better picture of it later. -------------------- Education is the key to the future,
