Interesting Rocks found, Maybe somebody knows

As promised for Ruby,,here is the rocks we chatted about. Maybe somebody can tell me what the big red one is.
The checkerboard one is quartz and slate,,interesting pattern

Little one is slate with pyrite stuck to it. Also the little red bumps are garnets that go thru it. Prospector friend gave it to me,,,it is from Mystic area of Black Hills.
