hehe
The Scott's my Mom and Myself yesterday set out to find sapphires from host rock. Armed with 2 (two) Fire Ants we did Identify a few Large out Crops of the Potential Host Rock , some of the material was full of tiny Red Crystals . upon digging in the adjacent soils ScottKS was first to roll out a chip of what I believe to be Cordierite which would be evidence of a Potential Corundum source nearby ![]() some of the material was eroding very fast and would crumble in my hands A few of the samples containing the small red crystals will be sent out for XRD analysis to see if that is micro-rubies ![]() a number of corundum indicator minerals were found in the adjacent vermiculite rich soils ; staurolite , cordierite and others ;) Was Fun ![]() |
