What a weekend! Thanks to Mike S. and his friend/brother for allowing me to dig on your claim. I might not have found that super pocket, nor that spectacular find, but I def. learned a hell of a lot. I appreciate you taking the time to teach me a thing or two, or twenty =) Wish you had stayed longer on Sunday, I was just getting into a good pocket - It'll be there for ya pretty much ready to go, it was just the start of it. - Thankfully your brother allowed me a little more time to dig and I managed to pull out a nice double termination and a decent three inch smokey (all of what I found is smokey pieces - mostly tops to crystals) I'm truly grateful for everything you did for me. Hopefully we can do it again, this time when I actually have money/my own food =)

Thanks. I know it's nothing spectacular, no combos... mostly broken, but it's the hunt and the knowledge gained that's important. I'm headed out again, sorta same area as Mike's claim - tho not the claim or general area that it's located. But that area, wow.. puts Devil's Head/Rampart Rd. to shame, big time. =) Anywho, going with an old friend from out of state.. show him what I've learned about rock hounding.. we'll be going mid-week, so shouldn't be to many peeps up there, hopefully.. I personally hate camping with neighbors.. to say the least, it should be interesting.
The flower pics are somewhat old.. couple trips back around Devil's Head, I damn near ran over it, so life saved from certain crushing fates, I took a couple pics in tribute to it's survival.

Your very welcome rockhounder. We had a great time and I'm glad you hit some good stuff at the end. We dug at that hole you made and found some nice smokies. We even hit a few small purple fluorite crystals in there. I'll try to get some pics if I get the chance to clean them.
